First Impressions on releasing a commercial game

So I just wanted to write a post about my experience in releasing my first commercial iOS game. Now i think it is pretty safe to say that the process has not gone without stress, put it this way, my game was released on the 20th of November and I have had about 6 hours of sleep…….in total!! In a few days I might be hallucinating.

 

Anyways as you may know my game, Guardian: Tego’s Fate has been released and so far it has got a pretty good response, the people playing are finding the game pretty addictive and in general are liking the look and feel of the game. At the moment I am treating the first week of release as time for me to take into account any major issues with the game and incorporate them into the next update.

 

The design of the game and also the gameplay itself are good enough to be featured by Apple, whether they think the same is a different matter entirely. Will be posting more updates on the game’s progress, how it was made, how we approached the press and much more.
